The Ecconomics of Solar Energy

The normal perception of green energy to the public is commonly referred to in terms of repairing the environment and lessening our global carbon footprint. It’s true that solar installation offer excellent environmental benefits, it is also true and constantly overlooked that solar energy provides many social and economic benefits.

A good example is jobs. Recently, (IRENA) the International Renewable Energy Agency released their 2015 renewable energy and jobs report . In the report it says that 7.7 million people are currently employed by the renewable energy sector across the globe, up 18% from last years reported number, and up 35% over the previous 2 years. If you want to add large hydropower to those numbers, you’ll get an estimate of about 1.5 million more solar jobs in the world.
